It's the last day of the year and a few hours to Year 2006! I'm here to commamerate the end of year 2005 as we step into the brand new year ahead!
Looking back to 2005, it has been the most wonderful year of my life... Half a year of holiday, and 4 months of schooling. What can be better than that!! How I wish every year is like this!
Jan 2005It's the start of a 6 months long holiday.
I was working at Ricoh Pte Ltd earning $5.5o/hr. (Cheap labour! hehe)It was also my first encounter with office politics. Haiyo, I dint know adults can be so scheming man!
28th Jan- Mel and I celebrated Anli and Mavis' birthday at Fish and Co. located at the Glasshouse. I remembered the band specially sang a birthday song for both of them! Most importantly, the food were yummy yummy!!
Feb 20053rd Feb - My Pacific Net Broadband service was activated at 10am.
8th Feb - Ailing's birthday! It was also the Chinese New Year eve. I went to Ailing's house forgetting that it's her birthday!! (I'm so sorry!) I remembered that she was born on the Chinese New Year eve back in 1986. I was telling her that in every 19 years of our age, our birthday will coincide with our lunar birthday. It was then that I realized it's actually her birthday! HAhaha!! *abish me*.
28th - Work contract ends with Ricoh. BUT! They force me back to work! Argh! I was force to teach a new comer what I was doing. Haiz, I don't know whether is it that I'm a bad teacher, or is she a bad student. I was having a damn hard time! In the end, she called me everyday to ask about the work even after I left the company... Phew, luckily the contract lasted for only 3 months. I don't think I'll be able to tahan if it was longer.
March 2005Everyone was hearing rumours about when the A levels result will be out. As for me, my prediction was right.
4th March - Release of A level result. Nothing much to say, just sad.
11th March - 1st Advance Theory Test for driving. FAILED! Boohoohoo...
12th March - NUS Open house. I went to the open house with Eileen Lee the siao cha bo (oops!) and Anli. Haiyo, the open house was so crowded, so packed plus the sun was scorching hot! I felt like a baked sandwiched! Well, basically, it was just about saying "hi!" and "bye!" with old frens whom went for the open house too, and leaving names and telephone numbers to the clubs and society. Oh yah, and climbing hills under the burning sun. Sweats!
April 20055th April - SMU interview at 2.45pm. Hm, Sometimes I wonder why they do it for. In the end ofthe interview, they'll get a school of students of the same kind. The schoold is purely discriminating and they only accept students who:-
1. Speak good English (like the Singapore campaign)
2. Articulate well
3. Do not panick as they speak
4. Bring their thoughts well into words
5. Dress well/look good
6. One who has a "business look"
Well, I DO NOT have the above points at all... therefore I was rejected totally. I'm fine with that. I'm totally happy in NTU :P
13th April - Had my 1st driving lesson! Wow, for the 1st time in my life, I get to control a car! All I learnt that day was how press on the accelerator and the break, plus turning the stilring wheel. Hehe, my car can move wor(duh...)!!
May 20052nd May - Dar's back from US. :) Happy and blissful... hehe!
10th May - Final Theory test for driving, second attempt. FAILED yet again!! argh!
13th May - 'A' Division bowling competition. Sadly, I went to support as a senior this year. Miss those National School's competition. Haiz, I'm promoted to playing IVP instead le... and can never go back to the Nat. Sch days anymore. IVP... haiz, just nothing compared to Nat. Schs.
June 20052nd June - Had my 3rd! advance theory test. This time, it's in the computerised format. AND I FINALLY PASSED! yay~
16th June - Went to NTU for body check up with Anli. Hm, the check up was rather fast. We had to do a urine test which I suspect is a pregnancy test... (for what purpose huh?) The we had to go all the way back to jurong point a X-ray... Haha, I remember Anli wore a shirt that has a zip right across the shirt... how to take X-ray like that?! so she had to change to a... rope!?
27th June - Worked at a NTU stuff club restuarant with Anli today. What a hard earn $20! The waiteressing was so draggy lah... I swear I wouldn't work there again anymore! In the evening, i went to sentosa for a job interview! So cool! I'm going to work at sentosa~~ Haiz, but in the end I only worked there for one day because I was sick from tioman for the subsequent schedule... It was fun working there though.
July 2005 6th - 10th July - TIOMAN TIOMAN TIOMAN!! FUN! FUN! FUN! Although I came back to Singapore with a virus attack and was sick for 2 weeks, I still wish to go back there one day.
25th July - Ssssscccchhhhooooolllll oooooppppeeeeennnnsssss... Another chapter of my school life starts. Hmm, after half a year of holiday, I have to admit that I do look forward to school starting again. I'm also looking forward to the hostel life! Yay~
29th July - I'M A QUALIFIED DRIVER! 1st attempt pass! :)
August 2005
18th August - My Birthday!! Celebrated at Hard Rock Cafe with the bowlers... I have to stand on the chair with while the sang the birthday song!! Malu Malu~~ Luckily I was'nt the only August baby, Victor was saboed too~ haha
September 2005
Boring month... Nothing special happen, and no time for anything to happen. Because school starts getting serious... Tests! tests tests!
October 2005
For the rest of the month... it's test test test and more test... followed up by exams on November... isn't sch just bored.
November 2005
21st November - Holiday starts!! YAy!! And Cindy is back~ Means it's seconday sch gathering again~~ Hmm, if you're not familar with Cindy, she's the Ella look alike fren of mine~~ HAHA!
26th November - Secondary school gathering. We had BBQ at Cindy's place. Yummy, but I was sick, can't really enjoy the BBQ food. So much restrictions. Haiz. Mel and I stayed at Cin's house. A rountine that we follow whenever she's back in Sg. :)
December 2005
25th December - It's Chirstmas!! Spent the evening with bowlers at Village. Hm, the food was good as usual. Wanted to go to Eski Bar after that, but I thought I'd like to go home at rest and therefore I gave it a miss. The bowlers are just the greatest gang of friends!!
Well, that's year 2005 for me. As for my New Year resolution, it shall be left in my heart. :) Nonetheless, I hope 2006 will be a better year than 2005... More As, More strikes, More $$... :) Haha!
